Our 5th Gala Dinner was held October 25th,2014.
Our Guest Speaker was Shane Hnidy, former NHL’er from Neepawa MB and colour commentator with the Winnipeg Jets. Shane entertained the crowd with hockey stories from his career and learning the ropes from previous guest speaker Dennis Beyak. Shane is Stanley Cup Champion with the Boston Bruins and showed off his Stanley Cup ring.
The Citizen of the Year were our first joint winners as a couple, Huntley and Nancy Knox. Both have made many contributions to our community.
Grants awarded went to the Parent Advisory Council for the new play structure at the school, the Miami Railway Museum and the Miami Curling Club.
